All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Ceres Cemetery--Ceres CA Cooper, Justice (Jess) JUSTICE (JESS) COOPER OCT 23, 1919 - SEPT 17, 2006 Jess Cooper continued his travels on Sunday September 17th. Jess was born in Alba, Arkansas to Floyd and Nina Cooper. Jess was married on September 21, 1946 to Kathryn Blevins in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Jess and Kathryn lived in a varity of states during their 60 years together. The two of them had 5 children, Jerry Cooper, Jimmy Cooper of Turlock; James Cooper of Modesto, Pam Cooper Milam of Modesto, and Justice (Roger) Cooper of Modesto. He had 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents Floyd and Nina Cooper, his brother Xerex Cooper, sister Bernice Pruitt, and loving son Jerry Cooper. Jess first started his own business in Fresno, CA in 1958, and moved it to Modesto in 1965. He owned and operated his business know as Modesto Ornamental Iron. Until his retirement in July of 1980 when his son Jim Cooper of Turlock took over the business. It is still in operation and still know as Modesto Ornamental Iron today. Jess and Kathryn spent 12 years of his retirement in Oklahoma where he spent most of his time raising cattle and doing wood work. In the year 2000 they decided to move back to Modesto to be near his children, and grandchildren. Jess's happiest moment were family dinners on the weekends with his children and sharing war stories, along with watching his grand children or his grand children watching him. Although his time here was short in our hearts, the love he gave to us will be forever be remember and forever missed. God speed till we meet again your loving family.
