He was born to Hazel and Wlater Cale Sr. on July 3, 1924 in Chickala Ark. He married Mary "Gladys" Moore Jan. 30, 1948 in DeQueen Ark. They then moved to Sapulpa. In the eary years of his medical practice, he served as a doctor int he US Army for four years. Following his military service, he began his practice of 31 years in Salpulpa with his childhood friend, Dr. Tom Burnett. He also served as a deacon at First Baptist Church in Sapulpa. Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Mary Sue Taylor of Atkins, Ark. Survivors include his wife Mary "Gladys" Cale, of the home; daughter Melinda Cale; sone Randy Cale and wife Carla; as well as one grandson, Jacob Randall Cale, of of Sapulpa, one sister Vivian Hunter of Spiro; several nieces and nephews as well as a host of close friends. Walter enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time on his farm, and playing with his grandson, Jacob. Pall bearers will be Tim Hershberger, Tom Freeman, Dewey ENlow, Dennis Roling, Dan Massey and Bill Hatfield.
