All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Bakersfield Californian Billie Pauline Cannady Services: Fri., Sept. 14, 1 p.m. Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 14, 2001 at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd. for Billie Cannady. Officiating at Billie's services will be her friend and pastor, Herman Lippert. A Visitation will be held Thursday, 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Bakersfield Family Funeral Directors, 701 34th St. Billie was born March 29, 1931 in Drumright, Oklahoma and passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the third of five children born to Joe and Vinnie Ford Murray. Billie and her family moved to California in 1936 settling in Oceano, CA. Billie graduated from Oceano High School in 1949. She married Willard Spud Cannady on July 5, 1949. Two children were born from this union, Terry and Yvonne. Billie was a member of Christ Church of the Valley and had devoted her life to the Lord. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She was a kind and giving person who had a gift of making people smile and laugh. She loved her senior womens group, square dancing, growing flowers and reading. She is survived by her son and daughter in law, Terry and Dawn Cannaday of Bakersfield; daugher and son in law, Yvonne and Jack Glover of Corcoran; grandchildren, Brian Glover, Jammie and Wes Widmer, Brent Cannady and Ashley Cannady; sister, Glendola of Oceano and numerous other relatives.
