All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sunset View FH--El Ceritto CA Fry, Sid Sid Fry Resident of El Cerrito Sid Fry was born on March 13, 1946 in Oilton, Oklahoma. He passed away peacefully on February 2, 2007 at home in El Cerrito. He was a lover of music, art, comedy, family, friends, good food, equality, non-violence, and world peace. He is survived by his wife, Lynda; daughter, Marlee; parents, Mary Louise and Sam; sister, Samiel; and nephew, Jesse. Sid attended San Francisco State College, earning his B.A. in Art; he later earned his M.A. in counseling from Antioch West. He was a counselor in the early days of the Center for Independent Living, in Berkeley. Sid went on to play and coach wheelchair basketball for sixteen years. He also worked sixteen years with the City of Oakland's "Linkages" program as a counselor for the elderly and disabled, before retiring in November 2001. A memorial to celebrate Sid's life is planned for early March. Any donations made to organizations benefiting polio, lymphoma, or arthritis research would be greatly appreciated.
