Her sense of humour and fiesty spirit will be remembered by many who love her. She was born in Bristow, Oklahoma to John Henry Adams and Elnora Baker (Mother Adams). She attended Oakland Technical High School, was a secretary for the Federal Government and a member of the United Food Workers Union #1197. She was an international traveller, avid quilter and big Giants fan. Betty is survived by sister Alfonzo Elliot (Smiley), nephew Nicholas Adams and wife Elisa, grand nephew Stormy Adams, Larry and many other beloved friends. She is preceded in death by Elnora Adams, John Henry Adams Jr., and Marjorie Ann Martin. A visitation will be held on Thursday June 7th, 11AM at McNary-Morgan- Greene & Jackson Mortuary, 3630 Telegraph Ave. in Oakland. A gathering to celebrate her life will follow at Erna P. Harris, 1330 University Ave. in Berkeley.
