All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Lane Memorial Gardens-Eugene OR Eugene Register Guard Tuesday, October 17, 2006 Harry Hague COTTAGE GROVE - The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Smith-Lund-Mills Funeral Chapel in Cottage Grove for Harry Hague of Cottage Grove. He died Oct. 14 of age-related causes at age 81. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. He was born Feb. 1, 1925, in Olive, Okla., to John and Bertha Hoover Hague. He married Ila June Eastburn on Jan. 2, 1948, in Tacoma. She died April 23, 2006. He served in World War II in the Battle of the Bulge and the Battle of Normandy, and in the storming of Adolph Hitler's bunker. Hague had worked as a millwright for WW Lumber Co. in Cottage Grove and for Woodard Lumber Co., which became Weyerhaeuser Lumber Co., retiring in 1983. He also served as a nondenominational minister. Survivors include three daughters, Vickie Billingsley of Sauvie Island, Kay Markham of Cottage Grove and Mari Hart of Drain; four siblings, August, Clara, Robert and Dot, all of Oklahoma; and five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Two grandchildren, Tami Billingsley and Adam Russell, died previously.
