"Bill" Hinton, 89, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 1998. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Jim Prock, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are by Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Mr. Hinton was born in Bowie and moved to Pampa in 1934 from Oklahoma City. He also had lived in Mounds, Okla. He worked for Kewanee Oil Co. as a bookkeeper for 391/2 years, retiring in 1973. Prior to working for Kewanee Oil Co., he worked for Santa Fe Railway in Williams, Ariz., and in the oil fields in Borger, Seminole, Oklahoma and Bradford, Pa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He married Dorothy Lorene "Bertha" Short in 1933 at Oklahoma City. She died in 1996.
