All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::NOT LISTED Tucson Citizen, Tucson AZ Charles Madison Howard Died February 21, 2006, born to Rufus and Sarah Edith (Ragsdale) Howard on April 9, 1915 in the Mammoth Spring area of Arkansas. Charley graduated from high school in Gypsy, Oklahoma in 1935. Charley loved the oil field and drilled wells from Alaska to Columbia to Saudi Arabia. Charley was especially proud to have participated in the drilling of KerMac Rig 16, the first oil well drilled out of site of land in 1947. Charley had one daughter, Anita Charlene Shook (now deceased); and one son, Charles Howard Walling of Tucson by his first wife, Juanita (Guinn). In later years, Charley married Irene, who now survives him in Tucson. Charley Howard is also survived by his sisters, Magdelene Martin and Geneva Howell, his favorite daughter-in-law, Ana, and numerous very beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and many other special people who knew and loved him.
