All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== :: Mayfield, Glenn William Glenn William Mayfield, our beloved father and brother, died Nov. 7, 2004 in Oklahoma City, OK after a long illness. His parents, William Oscar Mayfield and Della Rogers Mayfield, preceded him in death. He is survived by daughters Rhonda Cory and Glenna Forristall, his granddaughters Tara Cory, Laura Cory, and Ashleigh Forristall, and one great grandson, as well as his brother Seaynoah Mayfield, and sisters Aileen Smith and Jeri Tapley. Glenn was born December 20, 1935 in Drumwright, OK. He attended Sallisaw High School, and honorably served in the US Air Force from 1953 to 1957. He married Sue McConnell in 1954. He founded and owned Quail Plaza Barber Shop, and served on the OK State Barber Board. He was a Christian and attended church throughout his life. Glenn was a lifelong hunter, fisherman, and outdoor enthusiast. He was a champion trapshooter, serving as Secretary/Treasurer for the OKC Gun Club. He was a member of the OKC Lion's Club and a Master Mason. He traveled extensively throughout the world, and authored a genealogy book on the Mayfield family. Glenn will be missed by many friends, including Ron Scott and LeRoy Hensley. Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene in Sallisaw, OK, under the direction of Agent Funeral Home, 102 E. Chickasaw, Sallisaw, OK, 1-800-882-0276.
