He was born in Elk City, OK, to the late, Glen Estel Music and Louise Doreen (Striegel) Music on July 21, 1935. He passed from this life on Thursday, September 28, 2006, in Drumright, at the age of 71 years, 2 days, and 7 months. He was raised and educated in Norman and was a graduate of Norman High School. He married, Betty Cannon on August 12, 1955. They lived in Tulsa for many years, where he owned and operated Plumbers Pipe & Supply Co. He also coached the Tulsa Southeast Raiders football team for several years. They later moved to Cushing, where he owned Oil State Supply Co., until his retirement in 1985. In 1999, they made their home in Drumright. He played guitar at many Senior Citizen Centers around Creek and Payne Counties and was known for his tremendous sense of humor. He was preceded in death by: his parents; a son, Mark Richard Music in 1996; and a sister, Barbara Lewis in 1982. Survived by: his wife, Betty of Drumright; children, Michael Glen and Pam Music of Colorado, Peggy Michelle Music of Idaho, Jimmy Don Music, Jr. of Oregon, Marjorie Lee and Phil Tyler of Texas, Jack Randall and Stefanie Music of Cushing; daughter-in-law, Vicky Music of Idaho; grandchildren, Stephen, Kelsey, and Tyler Music, Emily Music, Jordan and Cory Peterson, Gegory Jr., Steven and Mathew Bishop, Cale and Taylor Music; great- grandchild, Parker Inez Peterson; sister: Peggy Ward of Norman; and other relatives. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 3, 2006, at the Cushing First Free Will Baptist Church. Michael's Funeral Home, Drumright, OK, (918) 352-2312.
