He was born to Leo G. and Ona O. Maxwell on Aug. 21, 1924 in Depew, OK. He is a graduate of Capitol Hill High School. He was in the U.S. Navy for 4 years during WWII. He joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol in 1950. He moved to Midwest City, OK, where he lived several years before being transferred to Lawton, OK then to Shattuck, OK where he retired after 20 years on the patrol. He moved to Livingston, TX after retirement. He met and married Valera Maxwell. Due to his health they had to move to Pearland, TX. He was also a 32nd degree Mason. Survived by his loved ones: wife, Valera Maxwell of Pearland, TX, brother, Wayne Maxwell and wife Ohnna of Harrah, OK, daughter Vickie Reed and husband Charles of Midwest City, OK, son, Leo G. (Ripper) Maxwell and wife Diane of Barling, AR, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. We would like to give a special Thank You to Judy and Bill Horton for loving and taking such good care of him during his illness. Preceded in death by his parents and one brother Bill Maxwell. Funeral Services were held on March 20, 2003 at South Park Funeral Home, Pearland, TX.
