Harold H. Maggard, husband of the late Bonnie Maggard, loving father and doting grandfather, passed away peacefully April 20th, 2003 in his home in Edmond. A veteran of 35 missions over enemy territory in WW II and retired shoe wholesaler, Harold was a native of Drumright, lived in Texas for many years and settled in Edmond in the early 1960's. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching football and sharing an occasional beer with his Brittany Spaniel, Uzie. He looked forward to the annual Homecoming in Drumright, and in recent months liked to spend time with his 2 year old granddaughter, Kathryn Elizabeth. Harold was preceded in death, one year to the day, by his high-school sweetheart and war bride Bonnie (Johnson) Maggard, his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by one brother and sister-inlaw, Bill and Libby Maggard of Sapulpa, and his daughter, and son-in-law Cynthia and Shea and granddaughter, Kathryn of the home, as well as his many 'coffee friends' at Around the Corner Cafe. Visitation will be Wednesday at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held Thursday April 24th, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel; Harold will be laid to rest beside Bonnie at Oak Hill Cemetery in Drumright, OK.
