Mrs. Newman died Sunday, May 26, 2002. Born July 24, 1931, in Drumright, Oklahoma, to Albert and Zenil Truax, she married T.E. Newman, April 22, 1949 in Bristow, Oklahoma. Survivors include: Her husband, T.E. Newman, of the home in Mannford; three children, Cheryl Lund and husband Rick of Las Vegas, Nevada, Michael Newman of Oklahoma City and Rocky Newman of Mannford; three sisters, Beverly Bissell of Hemet, California, Sue Bruce of Conroe, Texas and Virginia Rhodes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Private interment will be in the Highland Cemetery at Oilton, Oklahoma, under the direction of Mannford Funeral Home.
