JAMES E., was born December 28, 1926, in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and passed away January 19, 2003. Preceded in death by his brother, Jack E. Owens. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Alice Owens; children, Kay Smith and husband, Jerry, Susan Speakes and husband, Doug, Donna Boettcher and husband, Chris, Jim Owens and wife, Deana; grandchildren, Brandon Smith and wife, Rachael, Brent Smith, Adam Smith, Jason Speakes and wife, Katie, Andrew Speakes, David Boettcher, Carol Boettcher, Christy Boettcher, Ryan Owens and Leslie Owens. Jim served in the U.S. Navy during WWII from 1944 - 1946. He graduated from Tulsa Webster High School in 1944 and from Tulsa University in 1950. He worked for Standard Oil of Ohio/BP from 1950 until 1986. He served as Vice President and General Manager of Rocky Mountain & Mid Continent Exploration and Production. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local hospice of your choice or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 560089, Dallas, TX 75356-0089. Services will be 1:30 p.m., Thursday, January 23, 2003, at Restland Wildwood Chapel. RESTLAND FUNERAL HOME, located on Greenville Avenue ½ mile North of L.B.J. 972-238- 7111.
