All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::South Heights Cemetery--Salpulpa OK The Grove Sun Daily Clyde Truman Patrick 1915-2005 GROVE, Okla. - Clyde Patrick, 89, died Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Grand Lake Villa in Grove. He was born in Creek County, Okla. on May 12, 1915 to Fred L. and Anna Patrick. Virginia Partrick of Sapulpa was his wife for 56 years. They have three sons: Pat Patrick in Vilano Beach, Fla., Tom Patrick in Laguna Niguel, Calif., and Fred Patrick of Grove. They have four grandchildren: Sidney Patrick of Burbank, Calif., Stephanie Patrick of Boston Massachusetts, Scott Patrick of Tulsa, and Todd Patrick of Grove. Clyde served as a District Judge for Creek and Okfuskee Counties from 1968 to 1984 and as Creek County Attorney from 1951 to 1963. He ran for Congress in 1948 as a Republican from Sapulpa in what was then the 4th District. He graduated from OU in 1939 where he received his BA and Law Degrees, and where he also served as president of the IFC and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. All three of his sons graduated from Sapulpa High School where Clyde served on the School Board in the 1960’s. Clyde was also active in the Sapulpa Chamber of Commerce, serving as its president in 1950, on various city committees and commissions in Sapulpa, the Elks Club, Masons, and in Boy Scouts where he earned the Wood Badge Award for his volunteer work as an adult scout leader and he served as District Commissioner in the Indian Nations Council. One son and one grandson went on to earn the Eagle rank in Scouting based on his example. A memorial service is planned for the near future in Sapulpa with a private burial later in South Heights Cemetery in Sapulpa. Arrangements are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S.
