All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Bakersfield Californian 23 December 2003 THEODORE SATTERFIELD "TED" Mar. 25, 1915 - Dec 20. 2003 Ted Satterfield was born in Bristow, Oklahoma, on March 25, 1915, to William and Verna Belle Satterfield. Ted was preceded in death by his wife, Martha B. Satterfield. Our Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa went to meet the Lord and his bride in Heaven on the sixty-fourth Anniversary of their wedding, December 20, 2003. Ted grew up and worked in Oklahoma. Ted worked as a handyman and oilfield worker in Oklahoma where he met his wife, Martha Billings. They had one son, Harold, then moved to Oregon in 1942, where Ted became a lumber jack and worked in the timber industry for fifteen years. Ted and Martha added four more children to their family in Oregon, building their home on an old homestead. Ted moved his family to Kern County in 1957, where he worked in agriculture until his retirement. Ted Satterfield is survived by his brother, Dayton Satterfield, and sister, Marie Spencer and her family of Oklahoma. Ted leaves a loving family of three sons and their wives, Harold and Marlene Satterfield, Bill and Toni Satterfield, Ted and Debbie Satterfield; two daughters, Christine Scott and Charlene Rogers of Bakersfield and Lamont. Grandpa has ten grandchildren and is great grandpa to twenty great grandchildren.
