Sue R. Thayer

Sue R. Thayer, 74, joined her husband in Heaven on Feb. 2, 2006.

She was born April 3, 1931 to Christopher and Mabel Russ in Tulsa.

She retired in 1990 from Tulsa Public Schools after 25 years of service. 
She was an active member of First United Methodist in Sapulpa.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, taking her grandkids on senior 
trips and going to the stock car races. She also never met a piece of 
purple clothing she didn’t like!

Mom, grandma and friend to many ... you will be missed. We love you.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Robert Thayer.

She is survived by: four children, Gary and wife Marquita, of Broken 
Arrow, Rick and wife Kathy, of Nowata, Larry and wife Melissa, of Sapulpa, 
and Lisa Green and husband, Russell, of Mounds; 10 grandchildren; and 
three great-grandchildren.

Sue asked that contributions be made to the Youth and Cairos Prison 
Ministries care of her church.

Services will be held at noon Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006 at the First United 
Methodist Church in Sapulpa with interment at Memorial Park.

Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
