Yancy, John F.

John F. Yancy, 73, of Glendale, AZ, went home to be with the Lord on 
November 5, 2006. John was born in Depew, Oklahoma, and retired from 
Tanner Brothers Construction as a Mechanic/Heavy Equipment Operator. 
John was also a Mason under St. John Grand Lodge. Memories of John 
will be celebrated by his children: Anthony and John Yancy, Jr. of 
Fresno, CA, and Gold Walter Yancy of Phoenix, AZ; Marlene Woods and 
Brenda Yancy of Fresno, CA; step-sons, Benjamin and Phillip Bryant of 
Phoenix, AZ; brothers; William (Margaret), Chester (Amy), and Clark 
(Joyce) Yancy; sisters; Eleanor Collins, Perline (James) Whittler, 
Neveraly Childs and Thelma Franklin; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-
grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services 
will be held on Saturday, November 11, at Holy Trinity Church, 
located at 2891 W. Fairmount Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. Viewing will be 
from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 
PM. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Lowmans Arizona Funeral Home, 
Inc.
