Eula Mae Bailey was born March 26, 1921, in McClure, Oklahoma, to Anna Schultz and Franklin Earl Burgess. She passed away September 28, 2009, at Amarillo at the age of 88 years. Eula Mae graduated from school at Pie Flat, southeast of Hammon. She was married to Preston Erman Bailey at Hammon on April 9, 1939. They lived in Hammon, where Preston farmed until 1953 when they moved to Pampa and she began working for Hiland Pharmacy, retiring on October 30, 1984. They moved to Amarillo in 2002 to make their home. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ in Pampa, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Baker and husband, Jerry, Amarillo, and Viva Kay Coulter and husband, Gary, Sayre; 1 granddaughter, Vanessa Norman and husband, Jeff; 2 great granddaughters, Brooke and Kathryn Norman, Allen, Texas; a sister Ruth Ann Collins, Butler; a brother-in-law, Frank Bailey and wife, Janice, Altus; a sister-in-law, Billie Bailey, Lubbock, Texas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
