Sheldon Aubrey Durnen, 61, of Tulsa, passed away Monday, November 13, 2006, 
in Saint Francis Health Systems in Tulsa. Sheldon was born to T.L. and 
Elbe (Reid) Duren On December 23, 1944 in Weatherford, OK. 
Sheldon was raised and attended school in Weatherford, graduating from 
Weatherford High School in 1963. He attended Southwestern State College. 

On August 14, 1981, Sheldon married, Lou Ann Bratton in Las Vegas, NV. 
They made their home in Tulsa, where he was a used car salesman. 
Sheldon enjoyed playing cards and watching sports, especially OU 
football and basketball. 

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sheldon is 
survived by: his wife, Lou Ann of their home in Tulsa; 3 sons, 
Scott Duren and his wife, Kelly of Blanchard, OK, Matt Duren of Tulsa, 
and Sam Duren of the home in Tulsa; and 1 granddaughter, Ashlee Duren 
of Ft. Worth, TX. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 
and 1 brother, Lowell Reid. Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., 
Thursday, November 16, 2006, in Greenwood Cemetery, with Paul Taylor 
officiating, under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford, 
(580) 772-5535.
