Hocker ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Surnames: Moffat, Estes OBITUARY ----- Maude Mussett {Muzette, Muzette, or Muzzette} Moffat, daughter of Cyrus and Helen Moffat, was born June 24, 1879 in Dixon {Lee County} Illinois, moved to Thomas {Custer County}, Oklahoma with her parents about 1897. She was married to Manley T. Estes and moved to Leedey, Oklahoma on their homestead. To this union was born three children, 2 daughters, Mrs. Fern Williams of Oden, Arkansas, and Mrs. Ruby Sisk of Oklahoma City, and a son, Cyrus Lennard Estes of Gardena, California. They later moved to their present home in Thomas, Oklahoma. Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Grace Delaney of Oden, Arkansas and a brother Edgar C. Moffat of Kremmling, Colorado and 3 grandchildren, Deloris {Dolorese}, Vera, and Ike Sisk of Oklahoma City and other relatives and nieces and nephew. Mrs. Estes was united with the Congregational Church early in life, and was loved by all who knew her. She moved from her earthly house to her spiritual home, May 29, 1947 at the age of 67 years, 11 months, and 26 days. ----- CARD OF THANKS ----- We wish to express our appreciation for the lovely flowers and many acts of kindness shown us during the recent illness and passing of our loved one. A now 97-year-old cousin says that Fern's father was a Mr. Hubbard, whose son was an Attorney in the Lexington, OK, area.
