Edwards, Edna Mae EDNA MAE EDWARDS Edna Mae Edwards, age 71, of Ceres died Saturday, October 14, 2006 at Memorial Medical Center in the company of her family. Edna was a native of Clinton, OK, and came to Oakdale in 1955 where she married her husband Thurman Edwards. They moved to Ceres in 1960. Edna was a devoted homemaker who loved collecting porcelain dolls. She enjoyed sewing and she loved to take care of her grand children. She took pleasure in cooking many delicious meals for her family. Edna was a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a devoted Christian her entire life. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thurman Edwards of Ceres; three daughters, Bev Pope and husband, Sam of Ceres, Lisa Amaral and husband Scott of Waterford, Angela Swanson and husband, Mark of Chowchilla; six grandchildren: Scott Pope of Ceres, Pamela Chapa of Waterford, Jackie Harris of Waterford, Chris Amaral of Waterford, Justin and Brittany Swanson, both of Chowchilla; two great-grandchildren: William, and Kaylee Amaral both of Waterford; three brothers James Burton of Ceres, Vic Burton of Oakdale, Dee Burton of OK; two sisters Bernice Link of Missouri, and Liz Box of AR. Edna was preceded in death by her mother and father Eula and Vester Burton; two brothers Jerry and Truett Burton; and one sister Bonnie Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2006 at Lakewood Funeral Home.
