Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 E. Interstate 40, with Brent Moore, pastor of Osage Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Johnson was born Nov. 30, 1921, in Arapaho, Okla., and had been an Amarillo resident for more than 40 years. He retired from Glover Inc. as a superintendent and was a member of Osage Baptist Church. He married Floyce Peterson on July 20, 1940. She preceded him in death in 1991. He then married Gayle Wilson on Oct. 22, 1991. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Louis, Melvin and James; and a sister, Mary. Survivors include his wife; three children, Jimmy of Amarillo and Wanda Hites of Amarillo and Frances Crow of Orange; three brothers, Johnny of Round Rock, Tom of Weatherford and Gerry of Fort Worth; four sisters, Wanda Tapp of Raton, N.M., Elsie McGregor and Elva Wylie, both of San Antonio, and Aileen James of Grand Prairie; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. today at the funeral home. Amarillo Globe-News, May 19, 2002
