Montgomery Opal E. Montgomery DUMAS - Opal E. Montgomery, 83, died Sunday, May 12, 2002, in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 a.m. today in Dumas Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Rodney Riggan, pastor, and the Rev. H.L. Stevens, retired Assembly of God minister in Dumas, officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens by Morrison Funeral Directors. Mrs. Montgomery was born July 1, 1918, in Oklahoma City. She was a Moore County resident for 63 years. She was a homemaker. She married Calvin Montgomery on March 5, 1936, in Clinton, Okla. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Etter. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 20, 1999; a grandson, Ricky Gene Smith on April 15, 1999; three brothers; and a sister. Survivors include a son, Charles Montgomery and wife, Marvena, of Eufaula, Okla.; a daughter, Ernestine Martin and husband, Don, of Dumas; a brother, L.B. Easter of Albuquerque, N.M.; three grandchildren, Pam Casteel, Criss Yon and husband, Phil, and Kelley Martin and wife, Toni; a niece, Charline Oguin and husband, Elmer, of Stratford; and seven great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Church of the Nazarene, 402 S. Porter St., Dumas, TX 79029; or a favorite charity. The family will be at 109 Dallam St. in Dumas. Amarillo Globe-News, May 14, 2002
