All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Clinton Cemetery--Clinton OK Roush, Virginia Graveside services for Virginia Roush, 85, of Lawton, will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2005, in the Clinton Cemetery, Clinton, OK, with Rev. Doug Passmore officiating. Burial will conclude under the direction of the Stanley Lee Funeral Home in Clinton. Virginia was born December 20, 1919, at Rhea, OK to R.V. and Delia Sapp and passed away, Tuesday, August 16, 2005 , in Lawton. She attended Leedey Public Schools for eleven years, graduating in 1938 from Elmer High School. She continued her education at Oklahoma A&M. She married Chuck Roush and they made their home on a farm in Custer County. She became part owner and office manager of the Clinton Livestock Auction from which she retired in 1980. In 1981 she moved to Oklahoma City and to Lawton in 1998. She was a member of the First Baptist Church East in Lawton and was a member and past Worthy Matron of the Clinton Order of Eastern Stars. She was preceded in death by a daughter Jeannie, 2 sister, Mary Fisk and Rodean Joyce, and a nephew James Joyce. She is survived by a daughter, Roberta 'Butch' Vowell and her companion Tommy Jackson of Lawton; granddaughter, Lori Moser and her fiancee Ryan Paris of Denver, CO; 3 grandsons, Chad Rogers and wife Tammy of Lawton, Charrlie Moser and wife Dara of Clinton, Brad Vowell and wife Jan of Germany; 3 great grandchildren, Mitchell Rogers, Logan Moser and Morgan Moser; sister Catherine Berger of Las Cruces, NM; step granddaughter, Lolly Sparkman of Lawton and several nieces and nephews. The family will greet guests at the funeral home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday evening. Memorials may be made in Virginia's memory to the charity of your choice.
