Stewart, 70, 1109 Choctaw St. will be held Saturday at 4pm in the First Baptist Church with Rev. R.N. Hammons officiating. Burial will be in the Clinton cemetery. Stewart died Thursday morning in Oklahoma General Hospital. He was a native of Texas and came to Custer County in 1901 and had been a resident of Clinton since 1941. He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Gee Walters, Burns Flat; Mrs. C.J. Walker, Clinton, and Mrs. Robert Heriford, Oklahoma City; 7 sons, Elmer and Roy of Oklahoma City; Lester of Borger, TX; Jack of Clinton; Kenneth of Ft. Smith, AR; and Bob and Don of Fresno, CA. 6 sisters, Mrs. Hattie Reimer, Clinton, Mrs. Minnie Bowman, Homedale, ID; Mrs. T.R. Jacobs, Choctaw; Mrs. Jake Cornelson, Clinton; Mrs. Charles Shive and Mrs. Vertie Kenady, both of Oklahoma City; a brother, Pete Stewart of Oklahoma City; 23 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. (Mike was the son of John 'Troy' & Ella Parthena(Clayton) Stewart. He married Helen Sipes about 1919)
