All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Howard Cemetery--Turkey Ford OK The Grove Sun Daily Barbara Ellen Back 1922-2005 WYANDOTTE, Okla. - Barbara Ellen Back, 83, died Tuesday afternoon, October 4, 2005 at Higher Call Nursing Center in Quapaw, Oklahoma. Barbara was born March 27, 1922 at Turkey Ford, Oklahoma to Albert Ivan Rhodes and Fronie Mae (Bartlow) Rhodes. She grew up and lived most of her life in the Wyandotte area. Barbara married David Joe Back on March 22, 1938 at Miami, Oklahoma. Mr. Back preceded his wife in death on February 17, 1983. Barbara was a homemaker and a member of Fisher Flats Assembly of God. Survivors include three sons, Bill Back of Wyandotte, Ralph Back of Bernice, Oklahoma and Winford Back of Grove, Oklahoma; three daughters, Margaret (Sue) Seymour of Caldwell and Charlotte Jenkins, both of Caldwell, Idaho and Anna Arnold of Vinita, Oklahoma; three brothers, Raymond Rhodes of Peoria, Oklahoma, Daryel Rhodes of Winfield, Kansas and Leo Rhodes of Houston, Texas; three sisters, Janice Burleson of Grove, Ruby Rogers of Floral, Arkansas and Bert Humphrey of Lakeland, Florida; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; by a son, Kenneth Back; by two daughters, Wilma Kinslow Smart Golden and Patty Stafford Paulik; by four brothers, Clifford, Ivan, John D. and Hugh Arnold Rhodes and by three sisters, Lucille Carter, Sylvia Riley and Myrtle Lewis. Funeral services for Barbara Back were held Friday, October 7, 2005 at Council House Friends Church, Northeast of Grove with Rev. Roy Scribner and Pastor Jeff Buffalo officiating. Interment was in Howard Cemetery under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.
