All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Southwest City Cemetery--Southwest City AR The Grove Sun Daily Don Boyett 1949-2005 GROVE, Okla. - Don Boyett died Thursday, February 17, 2005 at his home after a long illness. He was 64. Mr. Boyett was born on October 10, 1940 to Bates and Lucille Boyett at Muldrow, Okla. HE married Betty Lou (Womack) Boyett February 19, 1967 at the First Baptist Church in Southwest City, Mo. He received his teaching degree from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla. in 1962. Mr. Boyett taught Vo-Ag at Southwest City for four years, McDonald County for three years, and taught at Grove for 27 years after retiring in 1996. He was a member of the Elk River Baptist Church in Grove and was currently serving on the board of the R.E.C. Round-up Club and the Cowskin Fire Dept. He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Boyett. Survivors include: his wife, Betty Lou Boyett of Grove; three children, Kathy Downing and husband, Wes, Donnetta Kerr and husband Todd, and Kelly Boyett and wife, Karla, all of Grove; one brother, John boyett and wife, Beverly of Muldrow, Okla.; two sisters, Linda Wight and husband, Monty of Muldrow, Okla., and Elizabeth Moffitt of Muldrow, Okla. and Elizabeth Moffitt of Muldrow, Okla.; one half-brother, Bob Herron and wife, Sue of Arcadia, Calif.; eight grandchildren, Colton, Dalton, Elizabeth, and Ty Downing, Kelsey, Levi, Lacey Kerr, and Kolby Boyett, along with nine nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2005 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 21, 2005 at the First Baptist Church of Grove with Rev. Ray Clanton officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest City Cemetery, Southwest City, Mo. Donations may be made to either the First baptist Church of Southwest City or the Elk River Baptist Church of Grove building funds in care of the funeral home.
