All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== The Grove (OK) Sun VERLE DALE BRANTLEY JOPLIN, Mo. - Verle Dale Brantley, 67, passed away March 18, 2003 at St. John's Hospital, Joplin. Dale was born October 12, 1935 at Eucha, Okla., to Charles and Gladys Allen Brantley. Dale attended school at the old Eucha and one year of high school. He served in the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Army and the Army Reserves. He was a lifetime member of the VFW at Rosewood, Calif. Dale was a carpenter and retired in the Carpenter's Union. He was known to his friends as "Digger." Dale loved to fish, NASCAR racing and baseball. Dale is survived by his wife, Janice of Neosho, Mo.; numerous children and siblings. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 22, at 1 p.m. at the Old Eucha Cemetery.
