A graveside service will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at 1p.m. at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford, Oregon. Reverand Jack Crumm will be officiating. Velva was born on November 21, 1916 in Grove, Oklahoma to Edward Steven and Virble Lois Morgan. She was married to John Lincoln Danford on May 20, 1934 in Reno, Kansas. They moved to Port Orford in 1971. They purchased the Port Orford Sanitation. In 1978 they moved back to Medford. They did a lot of traveling. After her husbands death, she moved back to Port Orford in 1992. She loved to grow flowers and visit with old friends. Survivors include: daughter Mary O. Loan of Port Orford, Oregon; two grandsons Richard S. Loan of Seattle, Washington and Jeffrey C. Loan of Port Orford, Oregon; granddaughter Teresa Engdove of Gold Beach, Oregon; foster son Robert Burton of Medford, Oregon; 8 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
