Donelson 1915-2005 CLEORA Okla. - William C. Donelson, age 90, resident of the Coves at Grand Lake, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2005. He was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and after his schooling went to work with Gulf Oil Corporation. He married Margaret Jane McCoy in 1941. In 1942 he entered the United States Air Force, graduating from Command and General Staff School in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas. After serving four years he left the Air Force as a Major and returned to work with Gulf Oil where he workekd for 34 years, retiring as Director of Advertising and Sales Promotion. His retirement years were spent with Margaret in Conroe, Texas, Sun City, Ariz. and most recently the Coves at Grand Lake, Okla. where he was active in the local community and their church. Bill is survived by his wife of 64 years, Margaret Donelson; daughter, Diane Rogers and her husband, Pete of Austin, Texas, daughter Barbara Bond and her husband, Roger of the Coves at Grand Lake, surrogate daughter, Christine Bennati of PAradise Valley, Arizona, granddaughter, Jenny Baird and her husband, Darrell of Westpoint, Texas, Pa., and his sister, Helen Lukens of Greenwood, Ind. We will celebrate Bill's life with food and friends after the morning worship service on March 13, 2005 at Cleora United Methodist Church.
