All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Southwest City Cemetery--Southwest City MO The Grove Daily Sun 11 Jan 2007 Ramon James "Buddy" Evans 1964-2007 JAY, Okla. - Ramon James “Buddy” Evans, II, forty-two years of Jay, departed this life suddenly on Thursday, January 11, 2007 in Disney, Okla., from injuries sustained wile working on overhead power lines. Buddy entered this life on August 26, 1964 in Jay, son of Ramon James Evans, I and Opal Hicks. His formative years were spent in Spavinaw, Okla. On May 8, 1993 in Hot Springs, Ark. he was united in marriage to Adela S. Clark and together they shared the last 13 years. Throughout his life Buddy worked as an electrician and currently was a lineman for High Plains Electric in Grove, Okla. He loved the great outdoors where his favorite activities were hunting, fishing and horse backing. Buddy also served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his father and an infant son. Buddy is survived by: his loving wife, Adela Evans of the home; two sons, Cody Clark and wife, Brandy, of Strang, Okla. and Dustin Dean Clark of Jay; two daughters, Samantha D. Evans of Pryor, Okla. and Sierra Evans of Jay; his mother, Opal Evans and husband Richard Payton of Spavinaw; a brother, Rick Evans and wife, Jackie, of Spavinaw; a brother in-law, Greg Bean of Chewey, Okla.; a sister in- law, Christi Flynn of Colcord, Okla.; as well as a host of other family and friends. Funeral services for Ramon James “Buddy” Evans, II were at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, at the First Baptist Church in Southwest City, Mo. with Pastors Cody Clark and Randy Willhite officiating. Burial will follow in the Southwest City Cemetery. Those honoring his life by serving as pallbearers were Mike Ross, Stan Luethje Ross, Bill Skinner, Travis Anderson, Shane Clark and Charlie Evans. Honorary pallbearers were Dick Mount, Steve Barrett, Bruce Rames, Danny Luke, Greg Mooney and “Ole Boy” Mike. In lieu of flowers a memorial in Buddy's name has been established at Corner Stone Bank in Southwest City. On-line condolences may be made through the website www.ozarkfuneralhome.com.
