Earp 1928-2005 JAY, Okla. -- Louvernia "Lou" Earp, 76, of Jay, passed away Wednesday, April 20 at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Jay, following an extended illness. Earp was born August 28, 1928 in Kenwood, Oklahoma to Luther Jenkins and Louvernia (Bollou) Jenkins. She was a homemaker and lifetime Jay-area resident, and a longtime member of Topsy Assembly of God church. Earp was united in marriage to Wesley Earp on July 15, 1946 in Boise, Idaho. She is survived by her husband Wesley of the home; two daughters, Sondra Keller of Jay and Ladonna Bratton and husband Keith of Jay; three sons, Trenton Earp and wife Elaine of Tulsa, Bruce Earp of Jay, and Steve Earp of Jay; one brother, Jim Bartmess of Clinton, Montana; seven grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Earp was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Wesley Earp; one sister, Melvina Bartmess; and one grandson, Chad McFarland. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23 at the Mount Hermon Church in Jay, with Rev. Chester Crittenden officiating. Internment will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery.
