All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Fairview Cemetery--Vinita OK The Grove Sun Daily Russell Hopkins 1929-2005 JAY, Okla. - Russell Hopkins, 75 year old long time area resident, died Sunday, January 23, 2005 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Russell was born on June 6, 1929 in Alex, Okla. to Don and Bertie (Ashlock) Hopkins. Russell was a livestock inspector for the State of Oklahoma for 26 years, he retired in 1993. He married Ginger (Ballard) Hopkins on September 30, 1981. They had lived in the Vinita-White Oak area for many years and had recently moved to Jay, Okla. Russell attended the Bunker Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Ginger of the home; three daughters, Sheryl Davenport of Jay, Terri Bullard of Cleora, Tammy Hensley of White Oak; two sons, Mark Hopkins of White Oak, Joe Hopkins of Artesia, N.M.; step- children, Tony Brown of Jay, Teresa Hibbard of Bella Vista, Ark., Douglas and Jeff Duncan of Jay; one sister, Muriel Terry of Lovington, N.M.; nine granchildren, seven great grandchildren, and seven step-granchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers; Gene and Gerald Hopkins. Casket bearers will be Jason Hensley, Jeremy Hensley, J.D. Davenport, Colt Duncan, Jeff Duncan, and Heath Hopkins. Honorary casket bearers will be Jim Jones, Steve Brickey, Roundy Dirickson, and Douglas Duncan. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Cowboy Junction with Pastor Wade Markham officiating. Interment will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, Okla.
