All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Olympus Cemetery--Grove OK The Grove Sun Daily Teddy Joe Holt, Sr. 1946-2005 GROVE, Okla. – Teddy Joe Holt, Sr., 59, died at his home Friday morning, October 7, 2005 after an extended illness. Teddy was born September 4, 1946 at Bristow, Oklahoma to Henderson Holt and Tina Pearl (Hicks) Holt. He grew up in Bristow and was a graduate of Bristow High School. Teddy joined the U.S. Army after high school and served in the Vietnam Conflict. He was a retired truck driver and had most recently been employed by CTI of Springfield, Missouri when he retired in 2001 due to illness. Teddy married Nora B. Metcalf on January 1, 2000 at Greeneville, Tennessee. Teddy had moved to Grove, Oklahoma in 1996. He was a member of Hart Chapel Full Gospel Church of Seneca, Missouri and enjoyed hunting and fishing and was always quick with a hug. Survivors include his wife, Nora of the home; ten children, Stanley Roberts and his wife, Sue and Mike Roberts and his wife, Carrie, all of Afton, Tennessee, Anthony Roberts and his wife, Katrina of Chuckey, Tennessee, Jason Roberts and his wife, Christy of Junction City, Kansas, Elizabeth Fizer and her husband, Keith of Junction City, Kansas, Joe, Kevin, Tim and Tony Holt all of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Twyla Drake of Oklahoma City; one brother, O.D. Holt of Bristow; two sisters, Gladys Webb of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Cordia Randall and her husband, Henry of Bristow; 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Monday, October 10, 2005 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove with Rev. Roy Scribner and Bro. Donnie Tucker officiating. Interment will be in Olympus Cemetery, Grove, Oklahoma, under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. Military rites will be performed by Grove Veterans Ritual Team.
