Kreie 1936-2005 GROVE, OK - Florine Andrea Kreie, 68, of Grove, passed away Friday, March 18, 2005 at her home following an extended illness. Kreie was born May 18, 1936 in Waverly, Kansas, to Floyd and Lela Rose (Cox) Brock. She was a retired Business Services Manager for Southwestern Bell in Topeka, Kansas for over 37 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks Lodge and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Eagles Lodge. Kreie was an avid golfer and a member of the Kansas Women's Golf Association. Through this association she performed course ratings on many golf courses in Kansas. Kreie loved life and people. She had many close friends in the area, including Salina, KS; Topeka, KS; Witchita, KS; and Grove, OK. Her neighbors already miss seeing Kreie walking her dog, Winston, around their neighborhood. She will be missed by everyone that knew her. Kreie was united in marriage to Stephen Conard Kreie on July 26, 1980 in Salina, Kansas. She and her husband moved from Topeka, Kansas to Grove in May of 2001. "She was my strength and my life," says Mr. Kreie. Surviving family members include her husband Stephen of the home; her parents Floyd and Lela Brock of Osage City, Kansas; one son, Wes Kreie of Monkey Island; one sister, Mary morrow of Ottawa, Kansas; three brothers, James Brock of Kansas City, Missouri, Jerry Brock of Richmond, Kansas, and Gary Brock of Lanexa, Kansas. Kreie was preceded in death by one brother, Eugene Brock, and one sister, Rosa Lee Mullinax. A celebration of Kreie's life with family and friends will be held Saturday, March 26, 2005 at 2 PM at the Community Center in Melvern, KS. There will also be a celebration of Kreie's life in Grove at her home on Tuesday, March 29. All neighbors, family, and friends are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Kreie.
