All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ===================================================================== ::Sixkiller Cemetery--Afton OK The Grove Daily Sun 22 Jan 2007 Norma Jean Korb 1929–2007 MIAMI, Okla. – Norma Jean Korb, of Miami, passed away Monday, January 22, 2007 at her home. She was 77 years of age. Norma was born August 25, 1929 to Claude and Suzanne (Wallace) Rider in rural Delaware County, Okla. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami. She was a homemaker. Norma had lived in the Miami/Grove areas all her life. She married John R. Korb on January 7, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2002. She is also preceded in death by one daughter, Deborah Dooley; two sisters, Vida Collins and Vinita Shockley; two brothers, Vernon Rider and Clifton Rider. Survivors include: one son, Robert Eugene Korb of Miami; one daughter, Bea McMain and husband, John of Miami; one brother, Joe Rider of Afton, Okla.; four sisters, Violet Blankenship of San Diego, Calif., LaVerda Biggerstaff of Columbus, Kan., Othella Thyer of Rayburn, Mo., and DeVita Cole of Foyil, Okla.; four grandchildren, Tiffany Hall and husband Jason, Michael McMain and wife, Amanda, Melisa Jenkins and husband, Joe, and Crystal Elliott and husband, Brandon; and five great grandchildren, Austin McMain, Lauren McMain, Dillon Hall, Ethan Hall, and William Jenkins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, January 26, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami. Rev. James Duffell will officiate. Interment will follow at Sixkiller Cemetery, southeast of Afton, Okla. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, January 25, at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
