All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== ::Jumper Cemetery--Jay OK The Grove Sun Daily Bertie Lee Meadows 1921-2005 JAY, Okla. - Bertie Lee Meadows, 83, died early Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at Quail Ridge Living Center, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Bertie was born October 14, 1921 in Delaware County, Oklahoma to Albert Berry "Ab" Meadows and Lenora Ann (Martin) Meadows. He served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Army. Bertie was a rancher. Survivors include one sister, Ella Mae Fields and her husband, Henry of Miami, Oklahoma; two nieces, Michele Tessari of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Carolyn Kahn of California and two nephews, Wendell Fields of Little Rock, Arkansas and Carl Meadows of Grove, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a brother, William H. "Bill" Meadows on June 22, 2002. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 22, 2005 at Jumper Cemetery, Jay, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held 6-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 21 at the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel, Jay, Oklahoma.
