All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Kenneth Earl Milbern Kenneth Earl Milbern, 67, of Amarillo, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 1999. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Rick Mathis, pastor of West Amarillo Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Milbern was born in Dewey, Okla., and moved to Amarillo 38 years ago. He attended Oaks Indian Mission School in Oaks, Okla., Amarillo College and Texas Tech University. For 10 years, he served in the National Guard and, for several years, was a carpenter in the Los Angeles area. In Dumas, he worked for American Zinc Company and, in Amarillo, for both the city as sewer lift supervisor and Amarillo Day Nurseries as a handyman. He was also an instructor for the Texas Water Utilities Commission and a member of West Amarillo Christian Church. He married Margaret C. Sayre in 1950 at Clayton, N.M. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Hazel B. Warren of Sharpsburg, Ga.; a son, Kim Allen Milbern of Pueblo, Colo.; a sister, Joyce R. Vinson of Montgomery, Ala.; a brother, G. Duane Milbern of Dumas; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The family will be at 205 Arch Terrace. They suggest memorials be to Baptist St. Anthony's Hospice and Life Enrichment Center; or the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
