Mrs. Angeline Mills, 82 years of age, beloved mother of Leslie Mills, residing 5 miles north of Grove, died Monday morning, March 30, 1931, of heart disease. Her husband died several hears ago and she has made her home with her son since his death, and here we have a fine example of a boy taking care of his mother. Mrs. Mills joined the Baptist church some 35 or 40 yers ago, and was one of those good, old-fashioned and religious mothers of our country. Funeral services were held for her at the Baptist church in Grove, Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Prichard, interment taking place in Olympus cemetery. An obituary for deceased will be published next week. The Sun extends heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved son and other relatives. ======= The Grove Sun, Thursday, 9 APR 1931 In memorium ... Angeline Goodin, was born in Pulaski County, KY, 1 MAY 1848, and was married to John W. Mills on 6 APR 1868. Her husband passed on before her on 23 SEP 1916. Also one son died in infancy and one in the year of 1915. She leave eight children: Mrs. R.M. Harwood of Pitcher; Steve Mills of Poplarville, KY; Mrs J.M. Stephens of Okmulgee; J.R and Willie Mills of Crowder; and Leslie Mills of Grove; and Maudie Mills address unknown; and Mrs. J.W. Blevins of McAlester. Deceased joined the Christian church nearly 60 years ago, then forty years later she joined the Missionary Baptist church.
