Pope, Lottie N. 

DALHART - Lottie N. Pope, 101, died Saturday, April 11, 1998.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Lincoln Street Baptist Church with 
the Rev. Rusty Hancock, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial 
Park Cemetery by Hass Funeral Home in Dalhart.

Mrs. Pope was born in Grove, Okla. She married Albert Riley Pope in 1916 
at Warner, Okla. They moved to Borger in 1928, and in 1937, they moved to 
the Draper community where they bought a farm/ranch. In 1946, they moved 
into Dalhart. Mr. Pope died in 1987.

She was a member of Lincoln Street Baptist Church and taught Sunday school 
there until she was 97 years old.

Survivors include three sons, Irvin W. Pope of Amarillo, Floyd E. Pope of 
Willard, Alaska; and Delmer C. Pope of Capristrano Beach, Calif.; eight 
grandchildren; and numerous great- and greatgreat grandchildren.
