Christian Oklahoma City - The funeral for Crystal Marie Pyle Christian, 27, was July 27 in Grand Forks, N.D. A memorial sercie will be 1 p.m. Friday in Central Hillcrest Baptist Church, 8100 S. Penn. Arrangements are by Abernathy Funeral Home, Crescent. She was born Feb. 23, 1975, in Oklahoma City to Rex and Peggy Pyle and died Wednesday, Jyly 24, 2002. She spent one year in Holland with AFS Exchange Student Program as a Junior, then graduated from West Moore High School. She attended one year at Oklahoma State University. On Sept. 21, 1996, she married David Christian. They lived in Grand Forks. She graduated this spring from the University of North Dakota with a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts, magna cum laude, in graphic design and photography. Surviving are her husband, David; her parents, Peggy and Rex Pyle; one brother, Jamie; and her grandmother, Lucy Pyle of Yukon. Gaylord E. Walker The funeral for Gaylord E. Walker, 91, will be 10 a.m. Friday in Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. David Jones, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born May 9, 1911, in Perryton, Texas, to A. C. and Florence Franklin Walker and died Tuesday, July 30, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He moved with family to Carrier where he graduated from high school in 1931. He earned a bacelor of arts degree from Northwestern State College, Alva. On Oct. 19, 1965, he married Mabel Shultz at Newkirk. He taught school in Hayward. Buffalo and Meade, Kan. He was rifleman in the Army during World War II and earned the purple heart, oak leaf cluster and infantry combat medal with three battle stars. He retired in 1976 as field auditor for Oklahoma Tax Commission and was a member of Cherokee Masonic Lodge No. 307, VFW and DAV. Surviving are his wife, Mabel of the home; one daughter, Jo Ann Hibbert of Liberal, Kan.; three stepchildren, Fred Schultz of Stillwater, Evelyn Labrier of Clayton, N. M., and Mary Lou Sparkmon of Phoenix; one brother, Ben of Carrier; two sisters, Avis Lisman of Alva and Merileen Cummings of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, two brothers and one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Meridian Technology Center Foundation. Ray M. Bridgeman Funeral service for Ray M. Bridgeman of Enid will be 10 a.m. today at David Park Christian Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Gerald "Jerry" Robert Shewey Fairview - The funeral for Gerald "jerry" Robert Shewey will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Fairview Mennonite Brethren Church. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitations will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, and 9 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Arrangeents are by Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. C. R. "Bob" Throckmorton Hennessey - The funeral for C. R. "Bob" Throckmorton will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will fllow in Hennessey Cemetery. Arrangements are by Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home. William S. Goodwin Sr. Cherokee - The funeral for William S. Goodwin Sr. will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cherokee Municipal Cemetery. Masonic graveside rites will be conducted. Arrangements are by Goodwin Funeral Home, Anderson-Burris Funeral Home of Alva and Waynoka. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Friday.
