The Rev. William Metz will officiate. Visitation with family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. He was born Sept. 16, 1913, in Carmen to Clark B. and Anna Christensen Chenoweth and died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, in Perry. On Dec. 20, 1936, he married Alta Maida West in Perry. He was a salesman for Keebler Cookie Co. and was named top salesman of Oklahoma for the company. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Airstream Club, Rolling Rockers and Good Sam Club. Surviving are his wife, Maida, three daughters, Patricia Conway of Mapleton, Ill., Nancy K. Smith of Garland, Texas, and Donna Beckman of Tulsa, and Donna Beckman of Tulsa; one son, Col. Edd Preston Chenoweth of Germany; two brothers Bill of Perry and Clark of Tulsa; five sisters, Luella Gregg, Dorothy Ewy, Bobbie Horton and Mary Goodwin, all of Perry, and Libbie Norton of Sapulpa; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-greandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister. Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran School. Marlene Kraft Alva - The funeral for Marlene Louise Rader Kraft, 65, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Alva Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. William Kalfas and Larry Donelson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wharton Funeral Chapel. She was born Sept. 12, 1936, near Capron to Adela Ruth Evans and Clayton Albus "Bus" Rader and died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at Kiowa Manor. She attended Capron grade school and graduated from Alva High School in 1954. She married Morris Lee Kraft July 28, 1956, at Cherokee. They lived in Alva. In 1957, they moved to Kiowa, Kan. She worked at Kiowa District Hospital, later at Kiowa grade school, driving a bus. She later worked at state school in Hardtner, then at Kiowa Manor, retiring in 1999. She was active in Cedar Grove Church. Surviving are her husband, Morris; one son, Mark of Kiowa; one daughter, Marcia Hargett of Copeland, Kan.; her mother, Ruth Rader; one brother, Don Rader of Vici; and four grandchildren. Memorials may be made to South Wind Hospice. Melvin D. Griffith Sr. Woodward - The funeral for Melvin Donald Griffith Sr., 72, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in Mutual First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Ray Blakley will officiate. Burial will be in Dunlap Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home. He was born March 22, 1930, in Mutual to Harland Bovell and Mary Catherine Myers Griffith and died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center, Enid. He graduated from Mutual High School in 1949, and in 1953, married Velma Lee McDonald. They had three children. On Nov. 10, 1960, he married June Cosgrove. They had one child. He farmed and ranched most of his life in Oklahoma, Texas and South Dakota. He also worked for Beech Aircraft, Lee Wilson Construction Co., Woodward Livestock and Security Agri Credit Corp. He was a member of Mutual First United Methodist Church and with other members helped to build the church building. Surviving are two sons, Don of Woodward and Pat of Gage; two daughters, Sandi Kliewer of Enid and Mona Ford of Woodward; two brothers, Boyd of Mutual and Eugene "Jiggs" of Sharon; two sisters, Roberta Christensen of Kiowa, Kan., and Winifred Clark of Enid; and 11 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister. Memorial may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, diabetes division. Mabon Smith The funeral for Mabon Smith, 81, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Gary Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Enid Cemetery. He was born Nov. 21, 1920 in El Dorado, Kan., to Earl W. and Edna Myrtle Harmon Smith and died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. As a young child he moved to Enid and attended Enid public schools. He served in the Army Air Corps from 1946 to 1948. On Aug. 7, 1947, he married Joyce Foster at San Antonio. He worked for Banfield Packing Co., and was a Garfield County jailer from 1956 to 1974 when he retired. He was self- employed in home repair and remodeling business and was a founding member of Madison Avenue Baptist Church. He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Joyce of the home; three sons, Gary of Austin, Texas, Tonald and Douglas, both of Enid; four daughters, Marilyn K. Shanhan of Gate, Carol D. Bond of Arlington, Texas, Linda Gail Litton of Crawford, Colo., and E. Jane Carpenter of Lahoma; four brothers, Walter of Granite City, Ill., Lee and Earl, both of Enid, and Richard of Berden, Kan.; two sisters, Pearl Williams of Enid and Elizabeth Gregory of Jet; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, two sisters and three grandchildren. Lola J. Cramer A graveside service for Lola J. "Gochis" Cramer, 83, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverview Cemetery at Arkansas City, Kan. The Rev. Bob Douglas will officiate. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. She was born Oct. 26, 1918, in Arkansas City to Ralph and Lila Carter Hancock and died Monday, Aug. 5, 2002, at Enid Senior Care. She attended schools in Arkansas City. She and her husband owned and operated the Coney restaurant until 1947. She worked in Wichita, Kan., at Boeing Aircraft from 1947 to 1962, then moved to Orcas Island off the coast of Washington, working in a resort until retir8ing in 1978. She moved to Enid in 1989. Surviving is one sister, Wanda Smith of Enid. She was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother. Walker Walker, Ruth, 94, Enid. Service pending with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Irven A. Ogden Jr. The funeral service for Irven A. Ogden Jr. will be at 10 a.m. today at Willow View United Methodist Church, 3525 W. Purdue. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Baby Boy Martin Baby Boy Martin was born and died August 5, 2002 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Todd and Tami (Dinsomore) Martin of Sallisaw. He is survived by his parents, Todd and Tami Martin of the home; maternal grandparents Pete and Sherry Dinsmore of Enid; maternal great-grandfather Ernest Grimes, of Shawnee, OK; paternal grandparents Doug and Kathy Martin of Stigler, OK; paternal great-grandparents Marvin and Eula Martin of Broken Arrow, OK; paternal great-grandfather Loyd Munn of Stigler, OK; two uncles, Chad and wife Christy Martin of Round Rock, TX, Blake Martin of Norman, OK; one aunt, Stephanie and husband Conley Phillips of Tulsa, OK: cousins Mackenzie and Trey Phipps of Tulsa, OK, Cade Martin of Round Rock, TX. He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandmother Ellen Grims; maternal great-grandparents Edna and H. A. Dinsmore; paternal great-grand mother Edith Munn. June Franks A celebration service for June Franks, 94-year-old Enid resident, will be Wednesday, August 7, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. in the Central Christian Church. The Rev. John Mclemore and Kevin Arensman will officiate. There will be a private committal service prior to the celebration. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. June was born June 9, 1908 in Wets Virginia to James and Eliza Meade and died Saturday, August 3, 2002 at her home. She moved with her family to Enid when she was two years old and attended school in Enid and attended Wesleyan College in Miltonville, KS. She later moved with her family to Oklahoma City where she married Joe Franks April 5, 1931, on Easter Sunday at her parents home. June lived in Enid with her husband Joe and worked in the office of their business Franks Machine Company. They later sold the business to Koehring Company and they changed the name to Speedstar, Inc. Since 1931 she had been a member of Central Christian Church and was active in the Christian Women's Fellowship. She also served on the board of the Junior Wlfare League and the Y.W.C.A. and was a member of the Weed and Seed Garden Club and Rotary Annes. She is survived by her daughters, Shirley Ann Nelson and husband Craig, of Enid; three brothers, Rev. Kenneth Meade, of Olathe, KS., Clifford Meade of Colorado Springs, Co. and Charles Meade, of Glenwood, AZ; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, Tracy and David Webb, Lauren and Taylor of Tulsa, Lori and Terry Burgess, Haley of Redstone, CO, Carrie and Kyle House, Trenton of Sparks, NV, Chip and Kandi Nelson, Gunner of Enid, Kimberly and Kevin Morris, Karlie and Kristopher of Houston, TX, Mark Lackey of Tulsa, Mary and David Starks, Logan, Sydney and Bill Gervasi, all of Enid. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Franks, Son Larry Joe Franks, her parents, a sister and three brothers. Memorial may be made to Hospice Circle of Love with Henninger-Allen acting as custodian of the fund.
