He was born Nov. 3, 1913, and died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002, at Oklahoma City. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Inez R. Osborn Anthony, Kan. - The funeral for Inez Ruth Osborn, 78, will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Williams Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in New Home Cemetery at Nash. Visitation with family will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 4, 1923, in Nash to John E. and Thelma Alexander Needels and died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002, in Enid. She was a retired teacher and a member of First Baptist Church of Anthony. On April 14, 1968 she married William "Bill" Osborn at Anthony. Surviving are one son, Jerry of Oxford, Kan., one stepson, Phillip of Arkansas City, Kan.; three step-daughters, Marion Struble of Bluff City, Kan., Mary Martens of Hutchinson, Kan., and Ruth Hendricks of Eureka, Kan.; one brother, John Needels of Basin, Wyo., one sister, Donnalena Myers of Enid; 12 stepgrandchildren and 15 stepgreat-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband on May 24, 1970, one sister, one brother and one stepson. Memorials may be made to Greenbrier Nursing Home for resident activity fund. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thelma Van Horn Kingfisher - The funeral for Thelma Van Horn, 90, will be 10:30 a.m. today at the First Assembly of God. The Rev. Ron Bruner will officiate. Burial will be in Kingfisher Cemetery. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service. She was born April 12, 1912, in Kingfisher to Joel and Orpha Barnard Weaver and died Monday, Aug. 26, 2002, at St. Ann's Nursing Center, Oklahoma City. She attended Central State Teachers College and taught at Park School. She and George W. Van Horn were married June 12, 1934, in Kingfisher. They farmed for about 50 years. She was a charter member of First Assembly of God, sang in its choir and taught Sunday School. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Weaver of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Martin and Verlena Shelby, both of Kingfisher; one brother, Ken Weaver of Oregon; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the church. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Marvin Glazier Kingfisher - The funeral for Marvin Glazier, 84, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday in Loyal Methodist Church. He was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Loyal to Earl and Delpha Page Glazier and died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, at Kingfisher Regional Hospital. He lived in Loyal area all his life and married Eileen Garms on June 27, 1938, in Enid. He was a dairyman, stockman and farmer. He served on Loyal School Board and helped to being the first agricultural education (FFA) program at Loyal School. He was an honorary FFA chapter member, a member of Oklahoma DIvision of Associated Milk Producers Association Board of Directors board of directors of Kingfisher Bank and Trust and served on Kingfisher Community Hospital board of directors, he was a member of Loyal United Methodist Church. Kingfisher Men's Garden Club, Lomega Lions Club and served on Forest Home Cemetery Board, Lomega Education Academic Fund (LEAF) organization and was a recipient of 1998 Oklahoma Farm Bureau Farm Family of the Year Award. Surviving are his wife, Eileen of the home; two sons, Tom and Stacy, both of Loyal; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and five great-great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one sister and one brother. Memorials may be made to Forest Home Cemetery, in care of Mary Lynn Ogle, treasureer; Lomega Lions Club, in care of Tom Glazier, treasurer; or the church, in care of Jackie Pope, treasurer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Martha Johnson Funeral service for Martha Johnson, 85, will be 10:00 a.m. today in the Emmanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Burial will follow in the Karoma Cemetery under the direction of the Henninger- Allen Funeral Home. Those who wish may make contributions to the Emmanuel Christian School with the funeral home custodian of the funds. She went home to be with the Lord Sunday evening, August 25, 2002, in Integris Bass Baptist Health Ceneter after a period of ill health. She was born October 5, 1916 near Goltry the daughter of John B. and Lean Johnson. She attended Goltry schools and moved to Enid as a young lady and worked for 20 years as a board marker and reported for Ullman & Co. Brokerage firm. She was the elevator operator at the American Standard Life Center South (Bass Building) For 24 1/2 years. She retired to care for her sister September 30, 1994. She was a longtime active member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church and taught the four year old boys and girls Sunday School class for 30 years. She loved them and sent them notes of Jesus love and encouraging words. Martha always made sure they had special treeats and gifts for holidays and a card with a new dollar for their birthdays. She was called Miss Johnson and Miss Martha. She loved to talk to people and witness to them about Jesus. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Sheis survived by three sisters, Mamie Gose, Mildred Wright, and Edna Koehn and brother in law, Leon Koehn all of Enid; many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Linda Beth Stinson Billings - Funeral service for Linda Beth Stinson, 53, will be Thursday, August 29, 2002 at First Baptist Church, Pond Creek, at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Rich. Burial will be in Pond Creek Cemetery under the direction of WIlson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. She was born January 18, 1949 in Dallas, Texas the daughter of John T. and Joy Faye Morris Farmer. She died instantly in a car accident on August 26, 2002. The daughter of a pipeliner, she and her family traveled extensively throughout her childhood. When she was 15 years a baby brother, Benny John, joined the family. Not long after she and her family moved to Estevan, Saskatchewan, Canada where she met and married L. Wayne Stinson on August 5, 1967. After moving 13 times during their first five years of marriage they settled in Pond Creek, Oklahoma. They raised a daughter and son there. She had a very blessed life with more ups and downs and unfortunately the downs included the death of her grandparents and father. Among the many happy experiences she enjoyed was a 20+ year career with Pioneer Telephone Cooperative were she came to know, love and be loved by just about everyone that knew her. She was a terrific daughter, sister, wife, mother and best firend. She was a "fiver" and could always find a kind word for everyone. She was generous to a fault. Her last year was her happiest and most peaceful, building new friendships as a home health care provider and good neightbor. But more importantly her last year was spent strengthening her relationship with God. She is survived by her former husband, Wayne Stinson; children, Kim Lechtenberg, Tonkawa, OK, Steven Stinson, Medford; her mother, Joy Farmer, Pond Creek; 1 brother, Benny and wife, Marla Farmer, Pond Creek; one sister, Pam and husband, Ron Robinson, Chattanooga, TN; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Mike Barnhart, John and Delores Barnhart, BIllings and Kay Sturgeon, Ames; two grandchildren, Cooper and Jaicee Stinson, Medford, OK. Holt, age 78, of Enid will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Augst 29, 2002 in Ladusau Evans Chapel. Rev. Archive Klusmeyer will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born on June 26, 1924 at Fairview, Oklahoma to William Holt and Lucille Rice and died Saturday, August 24, 2002 in Integris Bass Pavilion. He came to Enid from Fairview, Oklahoma and attended the Enid School system, graduating from Enid High School in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II and served in the Unived States Army from 1943 to 1946. He married Darleen May Hatfield on October 26, 1946 in Wellington, Kansas. He worked for Mistletoe Express for five years, later he became employed by the Enid Publishing Company as a printer for 38 years before his retirement. He was a 25-year member of the Typographical Union. He was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church of Enid. He is survived by his wife Darleen of the home; two daughters, Donna Burdick of Mustang, Oklahoma; Doreen Marie Riesen of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; two sons, Darrel E. Holt of Garber, Oklahoma, Dwayne Lee Holt of Wichita, Kansas; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opal Fine and Betty Fuligum both of Enid, Oklahoma. He was joined in loving memory by four sisters, three brothers and his parents. Memorials may be made in his memory to Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Rosa Hulda Sattelmeier Funeral services for Rosa Hulda Sattelmeier, age 88, of Enid will be 10 a.m. Thursday, August 29, 2002 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Rev. Kenneth Wade will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born Rosa Hulda Wuerflein on September 25, 1913 to John and Anna Margaret Kohn Wuerflein near Kremlin. She passed from this life on August 25, 2002 at The Living Center. Rosa was baptized on October 5, 1913 at home and confirmed June 3, 1928 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Enid. She was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League for many years until her health started failing. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran. She worked as a housekeeper for many families over the years. On October 28, 1955, she married Edmund Sattelmeier and they made their home in Enid. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Chastain and her husband Tom; two grandsons, Timothy and Matthew all of Enid; one sister Mrs. Alfred (Marie) Meyer of Kremlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund, and 10 brothers and sisters. Memorials may be made through the funeral home or the church to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
