Unruh Larned, Kan. - The funeral for Olive A. Unruh, 91, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Larned Assembly of God Church. The Rev. Richard Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid. Arrangements are by Morell Funeral Home. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. She was born Oct. 21, 1910 in Nottingham, England, to Thomas and Mabel Birkin Weston and died Monday Aug 26, 2002, at St. Joseph Memorial Hospital. She was a 1931 graduate of Kismet High School, attending college at Hays for one summer. She attended Larned Assembly of God Church. She moved to Larned from Enid in September 1994. She was a school teacher and a homemaker. She married Elton R. Unruh May 25, 1936 at Kismet, Kan. He died June 29, 1992. Surviving are one son, Robert of Leesburg, Fla.; one daughter, Gloria Martin of Larned; two sisters, Edith Weston and Ethel Blome, both of Hugoton; six grandchildren; and five great-granddaughters. Berline Caldwell, Kan. - The funeral for Henry J. Berline, 71, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Gretchen Hemmeke will officiate. Burial will follow in Caldwell City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Elliott-Schaeffer Mortuary, Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the church. He was born June 28, 1931, at Caldwell to Lue George and Ann Elizabeth Jackson Berline and died Wednesday Aug. 28, 2002, at Wichita, Kan. He married Beverly Slentz Sept. 16, 1951, at Caldwell. Surviving are his wife, Beverly of the home; two sons, Dale of Caldwell and George of Winfield, Kan.; four daughters, Dee Neuman of Anchorage, Alaska, Darci Berline of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; Dani Winkler and Lisa Berline, both of Austin, Texas; two brothers, Leonard Berline of Show-Low, Ariz., and Byron Berline of Guthrie; two sisters, Eleanor Patton of Winfield, Kan. and Jan Buford of Ponca City; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Craig Alan Zeman Medford - The funeral for Craig Alan Zeman, 45, will be 3 p.m. Sunday at First Baptist Church. The Revs. Bobby Smith and Craig VanDeburgh will officiate. Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home. He was born Aug. 4, 1957, in Enid to Otto Jr. and Alfretta Collene Clark Zeman and died Thursday Aug. 29, 2002, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, after a battle with cancer. He was a life-long resident of Grant County and attended Medford schools, graduating in 1975. He earned a vocational welding certificate and received the Top Welder Award in his class. He farmed and owned and operated Zeman and Sons Grain Transport Trucking. He was a member of First Baptist Church and All Sports Club of Medford. Surviving are his parents, Otto and Collene Zeman of Medford; five children, Cara of Boardman, Ohio, Brian of Edmond, Derek of Oklahoma City, Matthew and Kelly both of the home; two sisters, Marsha Triplett of Del Norte, Colo., and Kathy Morris of Edmond; and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by an infant son. Burial will follow in Enid Cemetery under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alice Barbara Zaloudek Smith A Mass of Christian Burial for Alice Barbara Zaloudek Smith, age 94, of Kremlin will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Kowaksi officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Alice was born April 21, 1908 in Kremlin to Wencel and Mary Makovec Zaloudek and passed away August 28, 2002, in Kremlin. She attended school in Kremlin and graduated from Enid High School in 1926. She attended Phillips University where she received her teaching degree in 1929. She taught at Rosebud School from 1929 till 1931. Alice worked at F. W. Zaloudek Implement Company as a book-keeper and farmed with her husband in the Kremlin area. She married F. A. (Tuck) Smith in 1931 and he passed away in 1968. Alice was the oldest living native born and raised in Kremlin. She loved crocheting afghans for her family and friends. Her daughter an son-in-law, Peggy and Jim Harris of Kremlin; one granddaughter and her husband, Paige and Kent Keithly of Wichita, KS; one great granddaughter Alice Keithly and one sister Irene Gau of Edmond, OK survive her. Her husband Tuck, one sister and four brothers preceeded her in death. Memorial may be made to the Kremlin-Hillsdale Academic Enrichment Foundation or Hospice Circle of Love with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodians of the fund. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Irene Highley Funeral service for Irene Highley, 87, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, August 31, 2002 in Davis Park Christian Church. The Rev. Alan Seibel will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Red Top Cemetery (Country cemetery) Corn-Colony, Oklahoma. Arrangements are by Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born October 5, 1914 in Canton to Charley and Myrtie Robison Kirk and died August 28, 2002 at St. Mary's Hospital in Enid, Oklahoma. On October 24, 1932 she married George Highley at Taloga, Oklahoma. They lived in the Okeene and Watonga area and moved to Enid in 1960. George passed away in 1986. They had one son Don Highley who was a policeman and was killed in the line of duty in 1968. Irene worked as a cashier for several grocery stores, also K-Mart, and in the local supermarkets where she did food demos. She was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church. The church which she first attended as a child with her Grandmother Kirk. She loved God, her church, the people in the church and all her friends and family very deeply. Surviving are her daughter-in-law Rose Bella Vellegas; four grandsons Mark Highley twin grandsons Ron Higley all of California and Don Highley of Oregon, Billy Vellegas of California; one granddaughter Joan Highley of Colorado and 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Florence Shaw of Longdale, Elsie Maze of Enid, and Wanda and Troy Phillips of Kremlin. Marsh The funeral for Berna Leslie Rhoades Marsh will be 10 a.m. today in Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be 2 p.m. today in Hardtner Cemetery at Hardtner, Kan. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Leory Johnson Graveside services for LeRoy Johnson, age 79, of Enid will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Wade Burleson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. He was born October 30, 1922 in Lahoma to Simon and Edna Herber Johnson and died early Tuesday morning in St. Mary's Regional Hospital. He grew up, attended and graduated from school in Enid. He joined the United States Navy serving during WWII. After his 16 year career in the military, he owned and operated Johnson Sinclair of Enid, which he operated until retiring in the early 1970's. His six children, Howard and Carrie Johnson both of Enid, Janice Albrecht of St. Paul, Minnesota, Rodney Johnson, Nancee Hudson, and Rodger Johnson all Enid; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; six brothers and sisters, Lila Mae Sanders of Enid, Agatha Bowen of Hillsdale, Glenna Belle Davis of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Kenneth Johnson of Garden City, KS, Robert Johnson of Oaks, OK and Raymond Johnson of Anchorage, Alaska survive him. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son and an infant grandson. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mildred Lucille White The graveside services for Mildred Lucille White, 91 year old Enid resident will be Saturday, August 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. in the Enid Cemetery. The Rev. Jack Lowe will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. Mildred was born December 21, 1910 in Enid to Milton W. Hoopingarner and Ethel G. Duncan and died Thursday, August 29, 2002 in Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She attended Enid public schools and graduated from Enid High School in 1930. On May 10, 1937 she married Ralph G. White. The couple made their home in Enid. She was a member of the Bethany United Methodist Church. She is survived by two nieces, Connie Oswald of Enid and Donis Marie Wilson, Texas, and five nephews, Sonny Hoopingarner, Texas, Larry, Billy, and Dennis Hoopingarner and his wife Felicia, and Jody D. Jordan all of Enid. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her parents and three brothers. Memorial may be made to Main Street Church of the Nazarene with the funeral home serving as custodian of the fund.
