Dr. Richard Dunn will officiate. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Fletcher Cemetery. She was born March 11, 1944, in Cyril to Wardlow and Beulah Cobb Thomason and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She graduated from Cyril High School, then attended two years of business college. On Sept. 17, 1965, she married Fred L Dotson at Oklahoma City. They moved to Enid in 1978. She was employed as an Insurance agent with Dillingham Insurance Co., and was a member of the Moose Lodge. Surviving are two sons, Jeff of Cypress, Texas, and Michael of Enid; her mother, Beulah Thomason of Oklahoma City; three sisters, Gavon Mosher and Mary Thomason, both of Oklahoma City, and Sue Parker Rush Springs; and three grand-children. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Fundation, Cancer Division. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- BILLIE BOB SMART The funeral for Billie Bob Smart, 76, will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Emmanuel Baptist Church Chapel. Wade Burleson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Cherokee Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Lance will officiate. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Stratford to Robert L and Edith Simms Smart and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at his home in Enid. He attended school near Stratford. He entered the Navy at an early age and was a veteran of World War II. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Stratford. He married Geraldine "Geri" McKinnon on Aug. 3, 1946. He worked for Sun Oil Co. for 39 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Geri of the home; two sons, James and Ron, both of Enid; two daughters, Jeanne Ginder of Cherokee and Donna Smith of Fairview; one brother, Jay of Oroville, Calif.; two sisters, Denzle Candalas of Stratford and Charlene Highfill of Castro Valley, Calif.; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister and two grandchildren. SPELLMAN ALVA - Mass of Christian Burial for Stephen Michael Spellman, 36, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Dave Imming and Dr. Greg Hook will officiate. He was born Aug. 15, 1965, at Naval Air Station Lemoore, Calif., to Fred George and Eileen Mueller Spellman and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, from injuries suffered in a traffic accident east of Alva. He attended schools in Fairfax County, Va.; USNS Roosevelt Roads in Puerto Rico, NWC China Lake, Saudi Arabia International School in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and John Carroll in Dayton, Ohio. He graduated from Pone a City High School in 1983. He earned an associate degree from St. Gregory's College and a bachelor's degree in law enforcement from Northwestern Oklahoma State University. On April 29, 1989, he married Rachel Stephenson at Alva. He worked as a customer service specialist for Oklahoma Natural Gas Co. He served in the Army National Guard and Reserve and was a volunteer fireman on the Alva Fire Department. He was active in the Scottish Highland Games, having won first place at McPherson, Kan., and Wakeeny, Kan., and third in Kansas City. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended the First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Rachel of the home; one son, Carter; one daughter, Stephanie; his parents, Fred and Eileen Spellman of Ponca City; his grandmother, Mary Mueller of Ponca City; one brother, Fred of Mustang; and one sister, Kathleen Rubin of Wilsonville, Ore. The Rev. Jim Reed will officiate. Private family inurnment will be in Sunset Cemetery. She was born April 26, 1921, near Zeandale to Dora Bowman and Oscar Leroy Field and died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at her home in Manhattan. She graduated from Manhattan High School in 1939, then worked for Kansas Farm Bureau and Insurance Services. She was a charter member of the Pilot Club of Manhattan, Riley County Chapter of American Red Cross, the International Graphoanalyis Society, Riley County Genealogical Society and Konza Quilt Guild. She served as a specialist in the Family History Center of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Surviving are one sister, Willa Gertrude Field of Wichita; three nephews, including Albert W. Streich of Enid; four nieces including Donna Streich Prochaska of Enid; and 16 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters. TERRY D. RAPP MOORE - The funeral for Dr. Terry D. Rapp, 53, will be 1 p.m. today in Wakita Methodist Church. Casket will remain closed. Arrangements are by Williams Funeral Home, Anthony, Kan. He was born April 22, 1948, in Enid to Dale and Louise Webb Rapp and died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Moore. He graduated from Wakita High School in 1966. On Aug. 25, 1968, he married Mary Ellen Seely. He attended the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 1970 with a degree in microbiology. In 1974, he graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed a family practice residency in Wichita, Kan., before moving to Miami to set up a private practice. He was a member of Wakita Methodist Church. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy Westphal of Dallas; two sons, Michael of Dallas and Nathan of Norman; his parents, Dale and Louise Rapp; one brother, LD. of Wakita; one sister, Judy Koehler of Shawnee Kas.; and one granddaughter. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. He was born July 27, 1929, near Bison to Charley Jerry and Mary Bartunek Schovanec and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He grew up in Bison. He married Marcella Mack in Bison. They moved near Hunter in 1951, where he farmed. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church and attended St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1044. Surviving are his wife, Marcella of the home; five children, Terry of Hunter, Char1ene Skinner of Oklahoma City, Charles of Council Bluffs, Iowa, Steve of Hunter and Deborah Kraker of Oklahoma City; one brother, Virgil of Waukomis; five sisters, Wilma Petru of Waukomis, Helen Hromas of Mesa, Ariz., Delores Matousek of Hennessey, Erma Kokojan of Waukomis and Sister Deborah Schovanec, ASC, of Wichita, Kan.; 10 grandchidren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death two brothers. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 1, 1911, at Taloga to Peter Jay and Eva Schartner Boese and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Kennedale, Texas. He attended Southwestern Bible Institute at Waxahachie, Texas, and served in the Army during World War II. He later worked in real estate and insurance. He lived in Enid during the 1950's, then in Tulsa, returning to Enid in 1999. He attended Central Assembly of God in Enid, and First Assembly of God in Kennedale. He was a member of the Senior Citizens Center. Surviving are two daughters, Le Perry of Kennedale and Jeanette Scott of Arlington, Texas; four sons, Cleo of Temple City, Calif., Cleitas Of Phoeniz, Gene of Kansas City, MO., and Clay of Enid; two brothers Carl and Paul both of Enid; one sister, Thelma Jensen of Enid; 16 grandchildren, 29 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. He was born in Claremore to Ralph and Helen Pennington Russell and died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at Union Regional Medical Center. He graduated from Texas A&M and served in the Air Force and Army National Guard. He was a salesman for Walco Intemational. Surviving are his wife, Beverly Henderson Russell; two daughters, Kristi R.
