Jr., 39, Enid. Service pending with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- GWENDA LEA BARBY MEADE, Kan. _ The funeral for Gwenda Lea Barby, 83, will be 2 p.m. today at Apostolic Faith Church. The Revs. James Brown and Wes Peterman officiating. Burial will follow in Laverne Memorial Cemetery, Laverne. Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Myatt-Seeger Funeral Home, Laverne. She was born Dec. 4, 1918, on the family farm in the Rose Hill community northeast of Laverne to Arlie and Lulu Rector Wheeler and died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001 at Lone tree Compassionate Care Center. She was a homemaker and formerly of Laverne. She attended Readout Country School and graduated from Rosston High School in 1936. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She married Terrel M. Haight. He died July 30, 1955. She later married Alfred H. Barby June 15, 1958, in Raton, N.M. Surviving are her husband Alfred of Laverne; two sons, Allen L. of Laverne and William C. of Meade; one daughter, Jean A. O'Brien of Kansas City, Kan.; two brothers, Fritz Wheeler and C.A. Wheeler, both of Laverne; two sisters, Betty Sheperd of Lyndon, Wash., and Ruby Miner of Sweethome, Ore.; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by three sisters. Memorials maybe made to the charity of the donor's choice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ROBERT EUGENE HICKLE The funeral for Robert Eugene Hickle, 62, will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Anderson- Burris Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Patti Washburn will officiate. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery with graveside rights performed by the Elks Lodge No. 2104. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Anderson- Burris Funeral Home. Arrangements are by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland. He was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Garber to Curt and Madge Pershall Hickle and died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at his home in Fairland. He grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School in 1957. He later graduated from Central State University at Edmond. He was a veteran, serving in the Air Force as a pilot. He continued to fly after his discharge from the service. He worked for Carrier School System in North Enid as an industrial arts instructor. He worked as a case worker for the state of Oklahoma Department of Human Resources after he moved to Fairland. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Enid and the Enid Elks Lodge, where he served as exalted ruler. Surviving are one brother, Curt Lee Hickle of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Karen Sue Moore of Charlotte, N.C. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RICHARD PAUL KATZENBERGER RINGWOOD - No service is planned at this time for Richard Paul Katzenberger, 57. He was cremated at his request. Arrangements are by Fairview Funeral Home. He was born March 16, 1944, to Joseph and Mildred Slighty Katzenberger and died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Ringwood. He grew up in and lived his life in Sioux City, Iowa. He moved to Ringwood in February 2001. Surviving are a sister, Diane Firrand of Ringwood. He was preceded in death by his parents. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NAOMI JUNE RAHE CRESCENT - The funeral for Naomi June Rahe, 86, will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church. The Rev. Dennis Clark will officiate. Burial will follow in Crescent Cemetery. Arrangements are by Abernathy Funeral Home. She was born June 2, 1915, in Crescent to Charles McGuire and Alice Speeler and died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2001, at Guthrie. She married Clifford Ernest Rahe Sept. 6, 1933. He died in 1992. Surviving are two sons, Doyle Rahe of Hobbs, N.M. and Dr. Gary Rahe of Oklahoma City; two brothers, Royce and Donald McGuire; two sisters, Esther Hanke and Charlene Gilmore; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was a farmer and on May 15, 1945, married Beulah Abbie Pierce. Surviving are his wife Beulah; a daughter, Karen Jane Bissfeldt of Manchester; a sister, Bessie Robertson of New Berlin, Wis.; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a young sister and a brother. Surviving are two sons, Doran Cole of Wichita, Kan. and Jay Cole of Caldwell; two daughters, Janet Janey and Lisa Drid, both of Wellington, Kan.; a brother, Kenton Wirtz of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Joyce Singley of Broomfield, Colo. and Karen Garer of Edmond; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
