Roark, 78, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in Ladusau- Evans Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Marvin Goodpasture will officiate. She was born Aug. 15, 1923, in Longdale to Manville and Maud Rader Sade and died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001. She moved to Fairview where she attended school. She moved to Enid from California 30 years ago and owned and operated Fondue Club for a number of years. Surviving are three sons, Bob kelly of Enid, Terry Kelly of Broken Arrow and Jim Prentice of Oklahoma City; one sister, Faye Gilliand of Woodward; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ HAZEL C. FRAKES HENNESSEY - The funeral for Hazel Charlotte Frakes, 95, will be 2 p.m. Friday in First Christian Church. The Rev. Randy Burke will officiate. Burial will be in Hayward Cemetery. She was born April 13, 1906, in Hayward to Harrison Gaines and Charlotte Mitchell Hotson, she died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, Enid. She graduated from Hayward High School in 1926 and attended Enid Business College. On June 1, 1931, she married Isaac Elwood Barnes at Covington. The couple moved to Glencoe in July 1941 and Stillwater in July 1948. He died in 1967. She married Earl Tinker Frakes on Aug. 2, 1972, in Perry. They moved to Hennessey. She was a member of First Christian Church and Hennessey Senior Citizens. Surviving are one brother, William R. Hotson of Covington; and one sister, Mary Omega Carter of McPherson, Kan. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son, one step-daughter, two sisters and one brother. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ RLA ADA RODGERS KINGFISHER - A graveside service for Lila Ada Rodgers. 85, will be 10 a.m. Friday in Kingfisher Cemetery. Paul Toepfer will officiate. Arrangements are by Sanders Funeral Service. She was born Dec. 25, 1915, in Conway, Texas, to Charles Albert and Mary Virginia Litton Redwine and died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Cedar Crest Care Center in Broken Arrow. On June 22, 1936, she married Gilbert Egar at Kingfisher. He died in 1940. She married Cecil Alonzo Rodgers April 2, 1945, at Seattle. She worked for Cessna Air Graft Co. for approximately 20 years. Surviving are one daughter, Joan Jenkins of Broken Arrow; two sisters, Ora Holder of Vicksburg, Miss., and Ona Wright of Palestine, Texas; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter and one brother. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- IRENE BARKER WOODWARD - The funeral for Zelma Irene Barker, 85, will be 2 p.m. Thursday in First Christian Church. The Rev. Ronald Davenport and Dr. Kipp Wolfe will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Arrangements are by Billings Funeral Home. She was born May 31,1916, in Hobart to Alvin Norton and Bonnie Mae Jones Berry and died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Oklahoma City. She lived in Hobart until her marriage to Irvin Barker at Fort Cobb Sept. 16, 1939. They lived in Hobart, then moved to Mangum. She worked for General Dynamics at Altus Air Force Base, Ben Franklin's variety store in Mangum and OTASCO in Mangum and Cordell. The couple lived in Clinton and Cordell before moving to Woodward in 1990. She lived the past five months in Oklahoma City under the care of her family and Hospice. She was a member of Woodward's First Christian Church. While in Mangum, she was active in Central Christian Church activities, including acting as youth sponsor for Chi Rho and CYF Youth. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, serving as worthy matron of Cordell and Mangum chapters and in other officer slots. The couple participated in AARP while in Woodward. Surviving are three daughters, Judy Fletcher of Woodward, Joyce Glenn of Phoenix and Jamie Raines of Oklahoma City; one sister, Cleo West of Hamlin, Texas; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996 and two brothers. She was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Jefferson to Jacob and Bertha Stassan Foos and died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. She graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Northern Oklahoma College. She married Lewis T. Cathey, who was killed in World War II. She married James J. S words Oct. 1, 1946, in Newkirk. They lived in Tonkawa. She was a housewife and was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion Auxiliary and St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Surviving are her husband, James of the home; one son, Larry of Tonkawa; three daughters, Marilyn James of Tonkawa, Christine Worthy of Tulsa and Marie James of San Antonio; one sister, Anne Cox of Tonkawa; 10 grandchildren; 16 great- grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of Lowly-Funston No. 1980 Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and Emporia Ball-McColm Post No.5 American Legion Auxilialy. Surviving are her husband, Don of Emporia; one son, Joe of Emporia; one daughter, Georgianna Widmer of Topeka, Kal1.; her father, Frank Goss Sr. of Aline; two brothers, Bill Goss and Frank Goss Jr., both of Aline; four sisters, Virginia Kinney of Aline, Dorthy Stallings of Alva, Georgie Haltom of Enid and Mary Peters of Seiling; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by one sister. On April 19, 1969, he married Janice Lawrence at Caldwell. He was retired from the Air Force. Surviving are his wife, Janice of Caldwell; one son, Martin of Frisco, Texas; two daughters, Delores Shumaker of Red Rock, Texas, and Berdine Scott of Espanola, N.M.; and one brother, Sam of Wilton, Iowa. Burial will be in Pond Creek Cem He was born May 13, 1938, in South Haven, Kan., to Herbert and Nellie Dow Alcorn and died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2001, atIntegris Baptist Medical Center, Oklahoma City. He graduated from South Haven High School and attended Winfield College for one year. On May 5, 1959, he married Patricia "Pat" Smith at Medford. He worked for Beachcraft, Santa Fe Railroad as a switchman, city of Medford and various jobs in the oil fields until ill health forced him to retire. He moved to Enid in 1997. Surviving are his wife, Pat of the home; one son, Earl Jr. of Enid; one daughter, Carol Sue Baker of New Mexico; one sister, Wanda Jean of Wichita, Kan.; one brother, Paul of Enid; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter, one brother and one sister. She was born Nov. 23, 1911, in Kremlin to John and Katie Goertz Buller and died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. She attended school in the Kremlin area. On June 17, 1928, she married Pete K. Brown in Enid. She was a housewife and worked for several years at Armor until its closure. She later worked in the meat department at Parrot's Grocery Store. Surviving are two daughters, Irene M. Dildine of Oklahoma City and Alene V. Hughs of Liberal, Kan.; one brother, A.J. "Smokie" Buller of Enid; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. (Paid Obit 12-12-1) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ JUNE ELIZABETH WATERS Mrs. June Elizabeth Waters of Fairfield Bay, Arkansas, passed away at her home, on Monday, December 10, 2001. Born in Galesburg, Illinois, on July 7,1922, Mrs. Waters was 79 years of age. She was the daughter of the late Claire and Hallie (McFarland) Young. Mrs. Waters was a former resident of Cincinnati, Ohio, and had been a resident of Fairfield Bay since 1976. She was a mother and homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Fairfield Bay United Methodist Church and the sewing group and ladies auxiliary of the church. Her husband, Louis Dewey Waters, preceded her in death on October 6, 1995. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth and Claire, and one sister, Dorothy. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law; Ted and Janice Waters of Enid, Oklahoma; and Jim and Liz Waters of Jensen Beach, Florida; one daughter and son- inlaw; Karen and Glenn Gottschall of Abilene, Texas; one brother, Bill Young of East Moline, Illinois; one sister, Doris Eikmeier of Fallbrooke, California; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mrs. Waters is also survived by other relatives and her many friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Olmstead Woodland Chapel from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 13, at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairfield Bay United Methodist Church with Rev. Bonda D. Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in Woodland Memorial Park. Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home, Inc.
