The Rev. Junior Zollinger will officiate. Burial will be in North Marshall IOOF Cemetery. He was born Jan. 15, 1951,in Enid to Ernest and Betty Lee Black Jones and died Monday, Dec. 10, 2001, at Bardwell, Texas. He was secretary of the Cossacks MC of Tri/County. Surviving are his father, Ernest Jones of Crescent; three sons, Johnny Jones of Del City, Jesse Maxwell of Kingfisher and Dustin Dean Jones of Edmond; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, two sisters and one brother. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDWARD W. MARRS CRESCENT - A memorial service for Edward Wayne "Eddie" Marrs, 51, will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Immanuel Covenant Church. Chris Humphries, pastor, and the Rev. Dennis Pendelton will officiate. Arrangements are by Abernathy Funeral Home. He was born Dec. 9, 1950, in Crescent to Eva Marrs and died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Crescent On July 20, 1973, he married Sharon Thomas in Guthrie. Surviving are his wife, Sharon of the home; his mother, Eva Bench of Crescent; one daughter, Megan Anne Marrs of the home; two sons, Jonathan and David, both of Crescent; and two sisters, Patricia Woodard and Rhonda Lynn, both of Guthrie. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FRED M. ASH The funeral for Fred Milton Ash, 69, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Henninger- Allen Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bud Ruggia will officiate. Burial service will be in the Garden Chapel at Memorial Park Cemetery. He was born Nov. 14, 1932, in Enid to Fred Fogelman and Mary Clark Ash and died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2001, at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center. He graduated from Enid High School in 1950 and earned his bachelor of science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1954. He served in the Army from 1954 to 1958 as a pilot, flying both fixed wing aircraft and helicopters. He was stationed in Germany for three years and attained the rank of captain. He continued in the Army Reserves for another 10 years. On Dec. 26, 1954, he married Marilyn Reeves. He worked for International Harvester for 10 years in Colby and Wichita, Kan., then moved to Enid in 1972. He was sales manager for FW. Zaloudek of Kremlin for 10 years and then for Kingfisher Ford Tractor. In 1985, he began work for The Vernon Co., selling specialty advertising products. He married Luana Martin on Dec. 16, 1978. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Surviving are his wife, Luana of the home; two sons, Greg of Eagle, Colo., and Mike of Los Angeles; one daughter, Suzi Warren of Arlington, Va.; two stepsons, Brent Martin of Los Angeles and Keith Martin of Plano, Texas; one sister, Mary Jane Fitzgerald of Point Blank, Texas; and four grandchildren. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CLAUDE E. HOOD A graveside service for Claude E. "Blackie" Hood, 86, will be 11 a.m. Friday in the Garden Chapel of Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. John Jamison will officiate. Arrangemen ts are by Henninger-Allen Funeral Home. He was born Oct. 9, 1915, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Claude E. and Ila Esta Hill Hood and died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2001, at Highland Park Manor. He attended grade school in Texas and graduated from high school in Oklahoma. He attended Oklahoma A&M College, now Oklahoma State University, Stillwater. On Nov. 10, 1943, he married Judy Hale in West Memphis, Ark. He served during World War II with the 9th Armored Infantry Division in France and Germany. He came to Oklahoma in 1950 with Chemical Process Co., working in the oilfield. He worked for Cummins Construction Co., then operated a ranch at Mulhall for Roy Pratt. In 1975, he opened The Cobbler Shop, retiring in 1988 due to ill health. Surviving are his wife, Judy of the home; one son, Button of Enid; one sister, two brothers; two grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister. Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Division. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MINNIE MATILDA BULLER BROWN Funeral services for Minnie Matilda Buller Brown, age 90 of Enid will be 3:30 p.m. Friday, December 14, 2001 in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church. Rev. Garvie Schmidt will officiate. Burial will follow in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery under direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. She was born November 23, 1911 in Kremlin to John and Katie Goertz Buller and died Monday evening, December 10, 2001 in Integris Bass Baptist Medical Center. Minnie grew up and attended school in the Kremlin area. On June 17, 1928 at 11 o'clock a.m., she married Pete K. Brown in the Mennonite Brethren Church at Broadway and Sixth Street in Enid. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1982 after 54 years of marriage. Minnie worked for several years with Armors working with chickens until their closure. Later she worked for Parrot's Grocery story in the meat department. After her work experience, she became a housewife to take care of her home and work in her yard. The family would like to convey a special Thank You to Richard Rivers, M.D. and Rev. Garvie Schmidt for the diligent service that they provided to Minnie through out the years. She is survived by two daughters, Irene M. Dildine of Oklahoma City, and Alene V. Hughs and husband Lolan D. of Liberal, KS, five grandchildren, Judy Drennen, Kathy Dildine and Steven Dildine and wife Darlene all of Oklahoma City, Les Hughs and wife Donna of Fenton, MO, and Lavonda Chesmore and husband Don, five great grandchildren, James M. Drennen and wife Amber of Norman, Jamie Drennen, Ryan J. Henn, Kara R. Dildine and Clay S. Dildine all of Oklahoma City, and a brother, AJ. "Smokie" Buller of Enid. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, Katie and John Buller, husband Pete Brown and two brothers, Herman and Henry George Buller. Iris was born October 23, 19 J 6, in Nash, Oklahoma, to Ray Arthur and Viola May (Wood) Crouse. She married Marshall Embree on October 19, 1934, in Nash, Oklahoma, and was a home maker. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Nash and a member of the Eastern Star and White Shrine. She is preceded in death by her husband; daughter Bonnie Kan; and one brother Lloyd Crouse. She is survived by sons, Jim Embree of Guthrie, Ok, and Arthur Embree of Venus, Texas; daughter, Linda Tinder of Edmond, Ok; 12 grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
