The Rev. Mike Boswell officiated. He was buried at Katie Cemetery, and arrangements were by Krien Funeral Home. Ake was born May 16, 1953, in Adams, Neb., to Pearlene (Ivy) and Billy Asto Ake. He grew up in Wynnewood and worked as a truck driver and cement finisher. He loved God, making people laugh and going to the lake to camp and ski. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Brian Ake. His survivors include his wife, Karen Marie Ake; two daughters, Shameca L. Ake of Wynnewood and Shawndra Fauchier-Huskey of Hutchinson, Kan.; a brother, Kenny Ake of Spokane, Wash., and a sister, Pat Coats of Oklahoma City.
